No, I’m not dead, although I have the impression many of you lot are… But anyway, the exam season is (very nearly at least) over, which means I will be able to give the clan and its followers the attention it deserves. Which also means I expect you lot to do the same – sucks, don’t it – but don’t worry, I ain’t some sort of female that will ask you to do more but not specify what to do. As such I have compiled the following “text wall of death”/”small novel” to inform you.
ATTENTION – A TLDR version of this will be available in the TS3 server ‘Server News’ Channel description for those people that literally couldn’t give a shit that I bother to do this.

Clan Performance (vs. BURR_)
First matter of business; our performance as a clan, even though we have been understandably neglecting our stronghold and skirmishes for quite some time, I was under the impression that many of us are improving and/or continuing to play well and fly the colours for C-Tech. It sadly appears I was incorrect: http://wotcs.com/clan.php?wid=500038841
I was unaware of this website until recently, and it shows two things that are fairly worrying:
1) Many clan members have unacceptably long periods of inactivity. While the exam season can be held accountable for some of this, it cannot explain some of the longer periods of time, and due to this new information available, it is now easier for us to police inactivity in members. From 15/07/15 on, any period of inactivity longer than 2 weeks that has not been forewarned by email to a yet to be created email address will cause the offending account to be moved to a ‘Reserve’ Role, and will be demoted one internal Rank. If inactivity is still not declared after 4 weeks, the account will be removed from the clan.

2) We are statistically worse than BURR_. [Many of you will have no idea who BURR_ are, and a few of you will think “didn’t BURR disband?” – To cover all the bases, BURR_ is a revived version of the old clan BURR. For a brief period prior to December 2014, CTECH was allied with BURR for activities such as team battles and for the use of ‘their’ teamspeak server*. This didn’t last for long, due to their then commander’s insistence that CTECH merge with BURR under conditions that did not benefit CTECH or it members, this along with internal instabilities within BURR caused many of their members to leave and join CTECH, and for BURR to disband.] It is both bewildering and unacceptable that we are statistically worse than BURR, it makes little sense as, at a glance, the average BURR player is worse than that of CTECH. Nevertheless it is of paramount importance that we exceed BURR’s stats, as even though we may think ourselves as being superior in many other quantifiable ways, even one discrepancy may be enough for them to try and seek revenge and false justice for prior events. To do this, every single one of us needs to do our very best in every battle we partake in, I know that we are not unicums, but it is only our thoughts that we are not good enough that prevent us from being that good. In any case, the margin between our clans is not that great, and a small improvement from everyone should push the balance back in our favour.
Recruiting Drive & Challenge
Secondly – and unfortunately still somewhat related to BURR_ - we appear to be quite low in terms of numbers, due to losses due to; the expected disinterest over time, the understandable change in preference and loyalty, and the outright poaching of our members. As much as I try to consolidate our losses with the mantra of ‘If they felt they wanted/needed to leave they obviously weren’t loyal enough’, even if we have a few very loyal and dedicated members, this will not allow us to progress as a clan. As Stalin said: ‘Quantity has a Quality all of its own’, therefore we need some fresh blood among us, and as the only way to get anyone to do anything with some sort of haste is to wave a large carrot dangling from a stick in front of them, I have decided to make it into a challenge. *groans form assembled C-Tech’ers*. Don’t worry, this time I’ve actually thought of a system that will allow the fair and complete judging of recruitment of new members:
A viable new member is classed as anyone that obeys by the CTECH clan rules (ie. Min. tier 6, Understands English, has TS3) and also remains in a C-Tech clan (CTECH or RCT1A) for at least 1 month (30 days) after their initial entry.
To judge this, each newly recruited member must be recorded by the person or persons that aided in the recruitment in the form of an email to the following address <[email protected]>
Entries of the first cycle, from 19/06/15 to 04/07/15, will be adjudicated, with preliminary results being released as soon as possible after the deadline, and the full results announced when all recruits recorded and entered have either stayed 30 days or left, at the latest 04/08/15. This competition will cycle twice more for definite, and if it is a success will continue for the foreseeable future.

Free Transfers & RCT1A
Onwards to something a little bit more upbeat (No, the previous section was not upbeat, I might have to spend money :’( ), How many of you were aware that we now have a sister clan? I am going to guess that the response to that would make me cringe, so I might as well inform you. Prior to exam season, I managed to make acquaintance with a certain (Admiral) Abolisher, due to long time clan friend ApocalypticAtom. He was interested in setting up a new clan centred around both WoT and WoWs, and It just so happened that I was interested in expanding C-Tech’s scope into involving WoWs. As such we came to a mutually beneficial agreement that left us with the formation of RCT1A.
If anyone from CTECH is wondering why I chose an outsider as the Commander of our sister clan rather than someone internal, Admiral Abolisher has had past experience of commanding in both 2L8 and BMD, and the majority of RCT1A’s current members have followed Abolisher from these clans, so it only makes sense to have a good social foundation in a new clan. Unfortunately, Abolisher has recently stood down for personal reasons, and Zeldigo has taken command during Abolishers leave.
As I previously mentioned, RCT1A is intended to primarily focus on WoWs when it comes out it its Beta period, but their members are free to play whatever games they please as those of CTECH do. I implore everyone to attempt to help RCT1A get up and running to a similar degree as CTECH is, and request that any rivalries and disagreements between members of the clans be kept friendly at worst, the last thing we want is another enemy. I intend to add a section of the website to include a page for RCT1A, but we all know how quick I am at getting thing done, so don’t hold your breath.
Transfers between any C-Tech clans are considered free from internal rank change, although your role between clans may change, If you intend to transfer between clans, please inform an officer from both clans before the transfer to ensure you can transfer with the least possible hastle for all involved.

Tankfest & Merch
And, finally we move on to Tankfest, the crew visiting from the Isle of Man has certainly underwent a few changes from the initial concept of us going. I shall of course be attending, c1ar4n pulled out long ago, and due to recent changes, we have exchanged our Fletcher, for a Fletcher, which is interesting. We shall be attending both days of Tankfest, and will be hard to spot, but hard to miss, due to us both being short, but one looking like a pictish warrior and the other looking like a walking advertisement for the Isle of Man.
Talking of advertisements, who had forgotten that we had merchandise? Ok, who knew we even had merchandise? Well badger did, as he has done the loyal thing of purchasing the finest product a reputable T-shirt manufacturer and an aspie with GIMP can design. I also intend to expend our collection of tat to included RCT1A branded tat, because more tat is good, right?
